Feature & Follow

Feature & Follow is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. It's a fabulous way for book bloggers to meet, make connections, and get to know a little bit more about each other.

Q. What book(s) are you reading right now? What do you think of it?

I'm reading a few books at the moment and I've started listening to an audiobook to get me through the drive to work, cleaning the house, running, etc.

  • The Unquiet by Jeannine Garsee ~ I have simply fallen in love with this book. The characters are so intense and the spook factor is pretty high :)
  • Undeadly by Michele Vail ~ I'm diggin' this book... reapers, zombies, and Egyptian lore.. what's not to love?
  • Drowning Instinct by Ilsa J. Bick ~ I wish I had more time to get through the pages of this one more quickly. The writing style is simply incredible and Jenna Lord, our main character, is profound and darkly hilarious.
  • Eve by Anna Carey ~ this is the audio book I'm listening to. I don't know why I've put this one off for so long, but I'm glad I gave in to my impulse to give audio books another try. Very emotional and...just the difficult situations the characters have to endure...it's astounding...

Whew... Sometimes I wonder why I do this to myself ~ reading so many books at one time, but I can't help it. If I don't have my current read in hand, I'll grab another and just go at it, then I'll get hooked and the rest is history. Maybe one day I'll be able to focus on one thing at a time, but for now, looks like I'll constantly have a pile of books I'm currently reading on my nightstand.

What are you reading right now? Follow me, I'll follow you :)

Happy Reading Everyone :)

I'm amazed that you can keep all the story lines straight! I'm strictly a one book at a time person lol.

  2. Hmm... I really do need to get around to reading Eve. I've had it sitting here for ages and I've just been too buried in edits for my own book. Anyway, looks like you've been reading some great stuff. :)

  4. Drowning Instinct AND Undeadly... I am beyond jealous right now. Also seriously wondering how you're managing to keep all these different stories separate! Obviously, my skills are just inferior to yours XD Anyway, looks like you've got some awesome books here :) Hope you have fun and enjoy them all!

  5. I'm the same way with reading multiple books at once - I never used to, but now, like you said, if I can't find the book I'm currently reading, I'll start another one!

  6. I really think the key to audio books is finding narrators that you enjoy listening to. A book can be amazing but if you dont click with the narrator is can ruin it. Glad you are enjoying it!

  12. Wow, you've got four different books going all at once! Sometimes I will have a couple going at the same time, too. I am also listening to an audiobook (mostly for the commuter to work) and then reading a book too.

I've not read any of the books you mentioned, but Unquiet seems interesting. I may have to check that one out.

    Happy reading :)
